USAR Scholarship Programs

USAR Scholarship

Graduating high school seniors and college undergraduates can apply for competitive USAR scholarships each year (by the deadline of June 15). Funding for the program is underwritten by USAR members, the National Masters Racquetball Association and the Women's Senior Masters Racquetball Association through tax deductible donations to the scholarship fund. Since the program's inception a total of 79 awards -- totalling $41,250.00 -- have been awarded to aspiring collegiate athletes.

Applicants must be current USAR members at the time of applying for consideration of an award. All applications received by the deadline are reviewed by the scholarship committee, which is comprised of current members of the USAR Board of Directors. Annual awards are disbursed in the Winter of the application year. You may download the application online or contact the USAR for more information.

Norm Wilensky Memorial Scholarship

Norman Wilensky

Norm Wilensky was a dedicated husband, father and friend, with his focus towards the needs of others. He carried his love of family and friends to his love of sports. Norman was a loyal person and this was evident in his commitment to racquetball. He enjoyed playing for over 30 years of his life. Norm played six days a week and never tired of the game. Every day was a fresh start, every game beginning on a level playing field. Norm died suddenly at the age of 62 but will never be forgotten. His dedication to the sport will live on through his strong values and through young collegiate students who love racquetball.

With the help of friends in the racquetball community, the Norman Wilensky Scholarship Fund was created to keep his memory alive.
